Ingredients:
1 large egg, slightly beaten
1 cup peanut butter, smooth or chunky
1 cup sugar
Chocolate kisses, unwrapped
Mix the egg, peanut butter, and sugar until smooth. With clean hands, roll the mixture into balls, about 3/4 of an inch in diameter. Place the balls onto ungreased cookie sheets and bake at 350 degrees for 10 minutes. (Be sure to wash your hands thoroughly with warm water and soap after handling the dough.) As soon as the cookies come out of the oven, press a chocolate kiss into the center of each one. Cool for a little while on wire racks, but these are best served while the cookies are still warm and the chocolate is a little melted. (Leftover cookies can be rewarmed for a few seconds in a microwave oven.) Makes about three dozen.
